Ninth Floor video rolls out the red carpet at the Black Hat show.

The Challenge

Raytheon’s Cyber Security group decided to attend the Black Hat Show in Las Vegas, for the first time. They asked Ninth Floor to create a video to introduce Cyber Security as a consumer business – rather than just as a B-2-B company. Black Hat is a very high tech show, and Raytheon wanted to fit in with a modern, technological look. Not only that, they needed a video in a hurry, presenting a challenge for our onsite production team.

The Solution

Ninth Floor designed the video to showcase Cyber Security and Raytheon’s theme for the show “Rise Above the Risk.” Our team created a looping animation to run on a large monitor in the tradeshow booth. We took key elements from Raytheon’s messaging and added graphics, animation and motion to produce an eye-catching piece, then had it placed on a curved monitor on the outside wall of the booth, to attract visitors inside.

The Result

As our client stated, “The animation was a hit!” Raytheon was so pleased by the attention it created, that they are using this piece for social media as well as in presentations to potential customers. We have now added in a complex music and sound design component for these purposes, in order to enhance the high-energy action onscreen.
